This country offers a large array of entertainment such as bird watching, caving, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, among other attractions. They say all the joys of the ocean are found in the waters of Belize with 176 miles of coastal treasure.

Punta Placencia is one of the few villages that offers snorkelers and divers the unique opportunity of viewing whale sharks from April to June. With their capacious mouth which can be as big as 1.5 meters wide, containing up to 300 rows of tiny teeth, they are spectacular. The whale sharks are gentle and curious creatures when in a playful mood, hanging around visitors for long periods of time.

The Northern Highway is one of the best roads in Belize City connecting with the border of Mexico 90 miles to the north. Touring this highway will take you to the largest towns in the north: Corozal and Orange Walk with its large Mennonite community, offering both archaeological ruins and other activities such as bird watching, fishing or boat trips in the closer New River.
